Avatar Dropdown

I don't know if this is a hack or a template mod, but can someone please help me put this on my forum. you know like when you're choosing your avtar, it appears as a dropdown and shows the avatar to the right of it. instead of going into a new window and searchingit's a dropdown. Anyone please?

This is one of the things that has ALWAYS confused me... i can never find out how to enable/disable it..
