View Full Version : Add Last Activity/Seen to User Post Info

This is my first attempt at a (lame) simple hack. If anybody thinks I am going about this in the wrong way, please advise...I'm open to good and bad criticism :)
I wanted to be able to display the "last activity" of a user beside his post info in the main thread display page so people would know when they were "last seen". I chose to use "lastactivity" rather than "lastpost" as it is known to more accurately reflect the information I was seeking.
Instructions are included in the attached txt file.
I would appreciate feedback if someone could guide me in making this so only Admin/mods see the info.

This is great for me because I have a different postbit for every usergroup. :) I can easily make it available to who I want - perfect! Thanks for the hack. :)

Found a problem (not a bug):
If an unregistered user posts, it shows;
31-12-1969 18:00..

This is something I would have overlooked as my forum does not allow guest access.

It appears that you are correct. I did try searching for this and came up empty handed so had to do it myself.

I appreciate your effort though. I love this hack, it's one of my favorites, and I'm surprised more people don't use it.
