Hey guys,
I am the webmaster for a soon-to-be charity, based in Winchester, South England which puts on a gig for local young bands. Anywayz the point is it is non profit. As webmaster I want to set up VB on its website (www.dogfest.co.uk) but there is no way we could afford VB. So my question is although VB Lite has been discontinued does anyone know of any sites where it is still hosted for download? I really want to be able to put VB on my site, but I can not get the funding for it.
Thanks a lot for your time reading this,
Cyaz,
Dave Nash

Personally I don't know where to get vbulletin lite. I do know that legally you can only have like 1 member and that is you.

To my understanding, Vbulletin lite took down cuz VB developers now is developing new VB lite.

@dave - Your best bet is to search around for vB liscences @ vBulletin.com, and see if anyone is willing to lend you theirs if they no longer use it;)

dave, you shouldn't use vb-lite, it's just a testversion if you can use vb on your server, but i can't say it's good as a board itself ;)
if you can't afford a vb-licences you should check out free boards like phpbb..
But i can really say vb is worth the money, i don't have much as a student, but i've bought the licence and that was good ;)

Nope, instead they're developing a script with the same intention as vB Lite: to test if your site supports what vB3 needs to run.
vB Lite was horrible anyway ;)

I couldn't afford vBulletin and I'm a student. What I did was picked up loose change whenever I could. Dime Here..penny.
Did that for several months and collected $172.00 :)
So I used a good portion of it for vBulletin.
Never regretted making that purchase :)
I still pick up the spare change though.....I've accumulated another $32.00 in spare change :D

Dave you sould look at some free boards if you cant pay for vBulletin. Openbb and phpbb are good ones.
They took vBlite off the site so no one could download it?. Lucky me i still have a copy running on local host :D
