I know how to block them from stealing stuff from attachments.php or avatar.php, but I dont know how to stop them from stealing from my site...

there is no way to secure images.
when people view em, the images are on their PC so they can save/edit them as they want.
you can just prevent hotlinking your images

What if you don't have access to those files? I'm on a remotely hosted site.

Are you sure? If you're on an Apache server, all you need to do is upload the .htaccess file to the image folder and you're done.

Whenever I tried to upload the .htaccess files, they never worked...
