Hi all,

Is there a hack that automatically turns off features such as avatars, search, who's online, etc when the server load becomes too high?

I am running v2.26 btw.

No as far as I know. Only the built in vB option to refuse new users when the server load reaches a set level.

Here is one that denies Guests when the forum load gets too above a certain #.

Searches are one of THE most server intensive features, and limiting them during peak times can greatly reduce server load.
