Vote to delete post

My board has around 100 members on it at any given time and alot of people post topics that should be deleted. Is there anyway that next to each topic we could create a vote system and when a certian number of votes is reached the topic is automatically deleted?

This will help keep the board clean even when mods are not around.

Hey m8 that is actually a great idea! - but i could also see it as being abused as a joke or something, some people voting on somthing when it really should not be deleted.

Maybe instead - make it invisible to all users except mods and admins, then it will que it so that a mod or admin can make a finaly decision if it should be deleted or not.....

Mathiau is right, such a system can be abused very easy...
also i don't think it's worth for 100 members to do that...
two or threa mods can achieve the same effect and if the aren't online for two hours you won't die if such a thread exists, they'll kill it l8er ;)

But yes it would be doable, perhaps not as easy as it looks, because you have to save which persons already voted aso

My board has over 3000 people and so many forums my mods cant always keep up.

You could make it so the user can only vote once per ip address(to prevent them from multiple votes), or only people with over 1000 (or any trusted number) can vote. This is just an idea but I think it would help alot getting rid of those bad posts if a mod/admin isnt around.
