vB 2.2.7 - allow users to search custom fields

I have searched this forum for a hack to change the Advanced Search of the memberlist where all custom fields are also included in the search options. The hacks I found so far are not written for 2.2.7

normally you can use hacks written for other 2.2.x versions also in vb2.2.7

just test it or ask in the supportthread of this hacks if they work on 227

when I view the attached text file, the code that this hack asks to locate cannot be found in the template files that are required to be edited!
There is a reply at this thread, by COBRADUDE, who says it works on 2.2.7. I posted a message there as well but did not get a response. I really need to get my members to able to search by custom profile fields! APPRECIATE HELP!

well as i know chens hacks, they surely work on vb227 too.

if you don't find the code in the template, it's perhaps because the replacements are parsed in the txtfile.

try to find something which looks similar in your template and add the code there
