View Full Version : All our new members cant view the board

Hi, when ever a new member signs up, they cant view the board! It brings the message up about permissions, Ive carefully checked out all the permissions in admin cp, and they are all set correctly, and ideas what the problem is?

Has anyone experienced this?

Im running VB 2.2.8

you must have set up something wrong.
have you enabled e-mail validation first? if yes you have to check permission of the group users awaiting email validation..

**UPDATE**

The forum is not adding new members to the database!

I've just created a new account, and tried to search for the user name in admin, all i get is:

No users found matching those criteria.

Anyone have any ideas?

Makaveli344 be sure to replace the register.php file with an unhacked one... then try registering and see what happens... regards...

Hi again, the same error still persists but I forgot to mention that the error was 'a problem with the MySQL database' error. I go to my email and says cannont find 'Field2' in my MySQL, can anyone help

hmm, seems you've deleted a field in your userprofile table...

go into phpmyadmin and recreate this field

Well I have just been in phpmyadmin and loaded my userfields and uploaded successfully but STILL I have the same problem. I really can't see what is wrong, please can anyone help

Hi I'm also an admin at smscworld, we really need some help here if you can.

This is what we get when the forum sends us an email:

Database error in vBulletin 2.2.8:

Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO userfield (userid,field5,field1,field2,field3,field4,field6) VALUES (1046,'Si','','UK','','','Nokia 402')
mysql error: Unknown column 'field1' in 'field list'

mysql error number: 1054

Can anyone please help :cry:

as i said, go to phpmyadmin and add field1 into the fieldlist of userfield-table that would solve the problem
