Welcome Panel? Help? vB 2.2.8

I just installed vB 2.2.8 here > http://www.katanaplanet.com/forums

I've add the "Welcome Panel" hack but I can't get the avatar to show up, is there something I'm missing?

Is there an updated hack for vB 2.2.8 somewhere for this so called Welcome Panel?

i have not tried to install it on 2.2.8 yet i'll give it ago now and get back to you

i just installed an old version of it and it works fine

thats just up there for a few days till it's all hacked then we're moving it over to the main board thats just in case anyone from licencing sees this

You're right, yours does work, but mine still doesn't. Can you tell me where you got the code from, or can you send me a copy of the txt file so that I can try it again on my board?

did you upload the noavtar.gif and guestavatar.gif to your images/avatars directory ?

Did you add the correct coding in index.php?

Have u edited your template correctly (i.e. have you got $avatarurl in your forumhome template)??

Ah, that's why it doesn't show up!

All of the directions I've ever found for this hack did not say to include $avatarurl, I had $avatarimage.

Also I did not have the avatar directory, and I still do not have the noavtar.gif and guestavatar.gif images, where are these?

Does anyone have a link to the hack with instructions that actually work?
