Why can't we attach vB files? I mean it would help a lot of things, trouble shooting etc. and you must be licensed in order to download an attachment... so why?

Also I guess it is against the licence agreement to do so. Also certain files contain part of your licence number which you wouldn't want other members to get.

No, you may not post whole files for one simple reason:

What if you want to apply two hacks to one file? How do you do that if you don't have instructions about which lines to change?

That is John's reason, however sometimes lets say you have trouble with a file, ie. something is not working, it would be a lot easier to post the whole file to make it easier for both people to analyze the file, look at all coding and what's going wrong...
