Auto welcome new user after they have activated their account?

I have installed Welcome new user in forum hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35398) and it works great but I have also made the modifications listed in Not show users name as latest registered member until.... (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34380&perpage=15&highlight=registered%20members&display=&pagenumber=1) .

Any suggestions on how to modify the welcome message so that it only appears after the user has activated their account like the newest user modification in the second link? I hope that makes sense.

Which of the two hacks was it that you wanted to do this for? It should just be the case of moving the code in register.php

Well the don't show new register hack stops new users from showing up on the main screen until they have activated their account and it was a pretty simple mod. The welcome new user hack welcomes users as soon as they register, regardless if they have activated their accounts. I would like the Welcome New User hack to not actually welcome the user until their accounts are activated. I have a lot of people that register for my forum and then never bother to activate their accounts so I would prefer to not have a welcome message for someone who isn't a member. Thanks!!!
