I'm planning to upgrade to vB but would like to make sure I can import my current db before I do so. I'm running FuseTalk 2.2 with a mysql db. Is there a utility available for this? If not, is there anyone here who can help me out (for a fee)? Thanks!

There isn't currently a converter for FuseTalk, I can't say I have even heard of it. But I'm sure if you post a link to where you can get hold of it a coder may be able to write a converter for you.

Thanks for the reply. Are you talking about a link to the FuseTalk homepage?

Yes, a link would be helpfull ;) That way people can take a look at the software if they haven't heard of it before :)

I see :)

www.fusetalk.com (http://www.fusetalk.com)

It runs off Cold Fusion/MYSQL

Any news on the Fusetalk to vB conversion?

Would like to do this as well.

considering it runs off mysql, i dont think there would be much of a problem. i know that once you buy vbulletin you can request a convert via support ticket

Once the beta goes to RC1 version 3, converters will be available for all forum types.

You can request for version 2 but not sure if anyone will bother making one.

I've sent a support ticket, but they say:

"I'm afraid we do not offer a Fusetalk importer. We try to concentrate on the most popular forums for official convertors. Have you tried looking at http://www.vbulletin.org?"

I'm no coder/DB head, and I'm not about to toy with a forum with over 6000 members.

Just have to wait I suppose.
