Ok, I just finished programing the core of my image gallery for vb, now the thumbnailing is done, and image viewing is done. All I have to do is admin make catagories, and main listings.

Anyways, what this script will allow you to do is have mods, admins, and any other usergroups you allow to upload images to certain catagories, that you make yourself in the Admin Panel

Features:
• Auto Thumbnailing with GD (All you have to do is upload the image, and it will thumbnail it for you.
• Store Images on Site Disk space to save loading of MySQL Database, and keep size reduced
• Catagories are virtually made onto your site disk space as well via the admin directory
• Catagory Descriptions for each catagory
• Displays, filename, actual display height and width


Now, Here are some features I might add, but not sure if I will
• Who added image
• Number of Images in a catagory

This is the lite version, because in the pro version I will be testing with:
• comments system
• latest addition on main gallery home
• built in gallery news system
• Random Image

and some other nifty features.

For now I have thoughts of releasing it, I only get 2 days a week to work on it, because I have school, anyways, I just want to know the people who are interested to comment on the features.

Also the main core gallery system is done, right now it does Auto Thumbnailing, and view, its not yet fully integrated into vbulletin, it is using a seperate file I made called iglobal.php.

Ok, here are the information for the Lite Version
There will be no permissions for other people to add images, except admins.

• Dynamic Catagory Foldering Via the AdminCP
• Image Upload via AdminCP
• Image Listings in AdminCP
• Image FileName Overwrite Protection (Can be Disabled)
• Catagory Listings On Gallery Home
• Order Alphabetically (Automatic)

This is the lite version that will be released few days from now.

Those were the only two I was able to get screenshot of, there is still upload image, edit catagory, remove catagory, and delete images, and view image gallery.

Those are from the Admin CP, I have to rewrite the gallery script, so I will post screenshots of that before it is integrated with the templates and after.

Yup thats exactly what I meant, I have a template called listcat, it has variables, $catagory, $catdesc, and $cattotal, and it has <tr> and stuff, but it doesn't loop, but it loops the database entry only
I will show you a screenshot and the code.

If you look at the screenshot you should see that there is no <tr> break, there is only one <tr> </tr> and the content of the table is being repeated within that <tr> but I want the <tr> it self to repeat for each catagory. If you don't get what i am saying, please look at the forum home, all catagories and forums are seperated with a <tr>, the structure of the forum home is like
<tr>
Catagory1
</tr>
<tr>
Catagory2
</tr>

Not like that but very basically that is how it is.

I am hoping your release this very soon. I just opened my site up for new version 3.0 and its based on custom trucks and car show coverage. this gallery will be a mojor asset to me. People like you all at vbulletin.org and .com and the other communities make amazing things possible and the ability to share content with others.

More News About This Hack (Read if You are interested)
:::Ok this hack is pretty much finished, I am revising the code, and making an install file.

Does anyone want a vbhacker file as well? I will do this if you want.

vBimage Gallery? Advanced Pro 1.0 ;)
I am making this strictly for my site, so it will not be released for free, but I will release a cut down version of this under the model vBimage Gallery? Pro...this will lack some features.

Anyways I plan to make vBimage Gallery the only gallery system needed for vbulletin, so in other words I will be updating this constantly for small errors, and always make update files for it.

This has been written from scratch by me, the code was put together by me, so I will be taking all responsbilities for it, along with making this available for free updates.

Anyways what I am saying is, expect this to be seen around alot, because I plan to work with this to offer you a very well functioning Image gallery System fully integrated into vbulletin.

Also After vBimage Gallery Pro is released, Lite will not be updated.

The released of the following versions near, as I have everything planned out and ready.

You said that only admins will be able to upload.....that is somewhat good for me becuase I am needing the gallery in major way...but I want my users to upload as well...is this not going to have that feature...

Since Im not that good with templates, I was just able to find an error, the thumbnails are showed 3 images acorss after that it will automatically put them below, now there will be a black space if there isn't even number of iumages, I am currently trying to fix this :-/ anyways, just wanted to let you know that I was testing out the whole script.

GD is a PHP extension, if you don't know if you have it or not ask your host ;)

sorry about that guys, Im having java script problems, I am thining of releasing it without the popup the image script, and then later release it as a addon for it.

It depends on when you want it.

I can release it tonight if the javascript is not a problem.
Its no problem, its only a small thing, and when i figure it out later on I will include it.

Also I am a designer on weekends, at a company, I am also network manager, and server maintenance here as well, so my weekends are full, and on weekdays i got school

Hopefully I will release it later tonight.
