members only room/forums

I'm trying to build a members only section on my site, where subscribers can come receive live market calls from our professional trading team. We have tried to use chat rooms only to be disappointed! so I thought we could use the vb forums in some way.. Is there any hacks out there I should look at that already allow me to do this? Maybe something like the Hotel Hack that will be password protected and interactive within that room..

i know that vb3 will have the password restricted forums... and you can also restrict your forums per usergroup using the access masks... its pretty simple for setting up a place forum members access only type thing... regards...
