Hi can someone please help me with this please i had this hack installed and its very nice only problem now is i am getting my board ready for vb3 and uninstalling all the hacks i installed on vb2.3.0 so the transfer will be easier i managed to uninstall most but this i run the uninstall script all the tables have gone and templates except this link on the forumdisplay on top just underneath the welcome , new post , and clock links the is [ View Warnings List ] how can i remove that please i also attached screenshot of what i mean

I was wondeirn if there is a way for the warnings to gradually go down in time because if u have hella members and lots of warnings, u can't keep it on them forever and it's a +++++ to revoke everything so i mean like is there way for points to come off after a bit of time???

Yes, $BANtot is used several times, but I'm not sure where I'm suppose to define what number it should be. I suppose I could just replace all instances of $BANtot with a number, though.

the file isnt needed for installing and it functions just fine without it.

It used to control the settings, but now you can do that within the vBulletin Options menu.

I have problems. I have buttons for "report" instead of a link and I can't make a link for warnings. And there are problems in Admin CP.

For the warnings link, just figure out which part will display the warnings link, and just add that.

1) Go to vBulletin Options, hit submit at the bottom of the page. I'm not sure if you read this the last two times I posted this, but here it is again, and I've even quoted it for your convenience now. Thoughtful of me, eh?

2) As I said, they are comments. You can, but don't have to, add them. They will make a 0% difference in page loading time.

Either you already installed it before, or you have another setting that's taking the same settingid for the warning systems hack.

Find INSERT INTO settinggroup VALUES (40, 'Warnings System', 40) in the installer, change to INSERT INTO settinggroup VALUES (50, 'Warnings System', 40)

if you can access your database through phpmyadmin, look and see if all the tables added during the install were deleted during the uninstall.

The [view warning level] is a template modification, you inserted it manually. You can then remove it manually.

Installed and loving it!

I was a little confused about the warnconfig.php and the fact that you had to save the options before the script worked (i did it 3 times thinking i had done something wrong, ack)

So just reminder to people who are installing this are don't want to shift through 30 pages like i did lol

1.warnconfig.php isn't there, don't worry. Just run the installer
2.save your options in the vb panel once before testing script.

Thanks again for this wonderful script. It makes slapping those small-time spammers a little easier. I would hate to ban someone over alittle spam, and its usually hard to keep track of how many times you might have to talk to a user. This way keeps track for you and allows the user to realize they are getting close and closer to a ban.

The only suggestion i have for this is to have an option (as an admin) to recieve an email when someone is banned with a link to the user's warn-list.

I installed the latest hack however some users have thier warning level appearing and disapearing. Not all registered users can be warned. One minute I can warn someone, the nextI can't!

I installed the hack on another forum and it workd fine. Must be a problem with my first forum.

I also found an error in the uninstaller. It will work but it leaves the warning options in the vbulletin options control panel. In order to completely uninstall everything you will need to do the following:

Open warn_install.php
find (approx line 263-264)
$DB_site->query("DELETE FROM settinggroup WHERE displayorder=44");
$DB_site->query("DELETE FROM setting WHERE settinggroupid=44");

and replace the two number 44s with 40s to get this:

$DB_site->query("DELETE FROM settinggroup WHERE displayorder=40");
$DB_site->query("DELETE FROM setting WHERE settinggroupid=40");

Save it, upload it and then you'll be able to run the uninstaller.

It's trying to delete the wrong thing which will leave an unwanted option in your admin cp. I like my forums clean if you know what I mean.

I ran the installer from /admin directory... it installed ok, or that's what it said anyways.

For anyone using the latest mysql, the installer will syntax error on any sql query this installer runs. I edited the installer and im uploading it in this post. This should work on any version of mysql. If you get a mysql error about a duped entry for settinggroup. Edit the script, find where ther settinggroup idkey is set and change it from 40 to something high like 23532. Do that for all the settings id's to.
Run the UNINSTALLER, then run the installer.

This is an awesome hack, all my moderators love it. I can't believe we used to have a clumsy thread in the moderator section to keep track of warnings in a hard to read list. :D

g-force2k2 your hacks are great! I installed several of yours. More recently the one for how much time we all spend online. You gave tons of support there so I'm hoping you or anyone can answer this question:

Is there a way to export the warnings logs and warnings list to a text file or document so I can send it to my moderators?

For almost two years we were working where everyone is in the loop and now suddenly I had to tell them to keep issuing the warnings and I'll take care of the rest. The super mods in particular would like to see the warnings but I don't want all of them getting access to the admin panel.

Thanks for the compliments Kruppa. As for your request I modified the admin_warning and created a mod_warning that will allow moderators to view the warnings via their modcp. They can edit warnigns and revoke points but they can't unban users, also they can view all the users who have been warned.

First make this one file edit:

open mod/index.php (1)

find: (1)

makenavselect("Announcements");

under it add:

Then upload the mod_warnings.php to the mod directory.

It gives me an error page when I click the warning opetions within the mod panel. I logged in as a super mod to test it. The funny thing is that it did the same with the initial hack, when I clicked to test it within the admin panel it gave me an error page like that. I clicked submit in the general option even though I made no changes in the warnings part of it and it fixed my problem so I tried to do that again. It didn't do anything. The problem is have no submit button in the mod panel.

Maybe it's not the problem though, any ideas? The error page is a standard white page 404 error.

Installed everything ok and all works except the postbit warn link , i changed all my settings in vbulletin options & saved the changes but i still can't see the warn link :( its the same for all the user groups i selected .

I have sat here for nearly 3 hours goin through all the posts but i still have no solution :(

It turns out you had just linked the wrong file in your code to add to the mod/index.php file. You gave me the mod_warnings.php file but in your code you still linked to the admin_warnings.php file which you can't get to from the mod panel. I changed it to the filename you gave me to upload and it works great.

The pic you posted isn't of your posbit, it's for the profile. You don't get a link to warn users there, just the link to see user warnings. The warning system is based on giving warnings with a link to the thread and post for which you are warning your member. You get it in the postbit which is the post (dialogue box and left side box with name, avatar, title, location, ect...) left in a thread by your members. That's when you'll find your link to warn them.

Having one in the member profile would be ineffective because you have no place in the warning options to tell your member for which post you're warning for.

ok thanks finally got it all working great hack bit sticky on the install but with using the post in this section i sorted it

This was a very useful hack but I upgraded to vB3 so I no longer need it. However, I've still got the a Warnings System option showing up in my vBulletin Option in the Admin CP. How do I go about removing this?

I partially installed this hack - and then realised it didn't have some of the features I needed, so is there anyway I can easily uninstall and change the database changes it has made - as with this new hack I have installed (the AWS) I get the following error:

I`m getting an error message: When I type on my vbShoutbox 2.0, nothing will appear, when I try to type again a window comes up and says "Posting in progress"
Please help, i`m running vbulleting 3.50 Gold.

I did the install like the instructions says throught the Pluging System > Manage Products > Add/Import Product. Also uploded the .php file to the forum root.
