Need some help with Mark User As Contributor

Was working GREAT on my boards until I added User away hack. The members that were supporters are still there but my Admin CP will not let me change the new ones. I can save them as Mark User As Contributor in the admin Cp but when I clcik save it defaults to NO ANy help PLEASE
