minimum posts to be able to use private msgs

I've been having some trobles with new users and the private msgs and I wanted to limit the numbers of posts to have the private msg function enabled

I hope somebody have an idea about what I'm talking about

Have you checked full releases? No released hacks?

Anyway not tested but this should work:

in both private.php and private2.php find


require ("./global.php");


After that add:

if ($bbuserinfo[posts]<X) {$permissions[canusepm]=0;}

Replace X with min.post number to use pm..

ummm it worked with private2.php but it didnt with private.php

anyway my mistake Logician I just changed the way I was searching and found the limit private msg hack :)

May I suggest changing your hack's category to private message enhancements rather than Administrative and Maintenence Tools. Someone who is searching for this hack will for sure look at the PM enhancements category..

yep g-force2k2 it worked like a charm with me with no trobles at all


and I dont know but I think the hack is in the right place because it's more as an Administrative but it will be good to have a copy for it in the private section

yeah np dxb ;) btw Logician i guess your right but in a way dxb is correct too... i was thinking as being more of an Admnistrative tool O_o but i don't think that you can place a hack in two locations eh? regards...
