If you've ever used the moderator thread option to "move a post with a redirect", and then tried to delete the redirect, you know what I'm talking about. You have to jump through hoops.

I would like a hack that would display and/or delete redirects that are older than XX days.

The forums internal search apparently is designed to prevent it from displaying redirected threads as hits, but when I installed the "vb3 similar threads" hack, I started to see a few come up as "similar threads," which gave me the idea for this hack.

So I am thinking it would be possible to create a search and destroy utility that would let the administrator delete redirects that are older than a week or a month. I find that most redirects have outlived their usefulness after about a week,

Matt

Thanks much. Looks like the redirect deleting lets you pick off just one at a time. That's much better than the standard method of having to move & move back, but I am looking for a bigger shotgun!

Thanks & regards,

Matt.

There should be the code in there to mass prune redirects too ;)
