Fresh V-bulletin install ??

hiya guys i wanted to do a fresh v-bulletin install without loosing member info. my board is a bit messed up so i wanted to rehack the thing agian from scratch .... is there anyway that this is possible ..

what i wanna do is rehack my board from scratch .....
that would probably mean the templates ..... i guess ....but if it involves db then i don't mind that as long as i don't loose my members :)

save some of the user tables. user and userfield are a must. Download those tables and then when you do a fresh install (BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP........), restore the tables. BTW, I am sure there are more tables, so whoever knows all that must be kept, tell me :)

yes backing up is a must... but it could get tricky... because if hacks include addons to the user table then you must make those changes manually... what would i do?

I would simply take a clean vb and put it into the place of the old one... then you can find out what tables need dropping or altering... that way you secure you member database and info... and imo would be best... for the templates just revert to the norm ;)
