include reply in notification e-mail

Is there a hack for including the actual content of a reply in the notification e-mail to a subscribed thread,rather than just supplying the link to that thread.

I did search for an answer but couldn't find anything.

No hack needed. Just add:

$message

...to the email_notify template. :)

Just out of curiosity,if an attachment is included with the reply,is there a way to include a link to this as well in the notification email.

I can see your point about only including part of the reply in the e-mail to encourage them to visit the board and read the whole reply.
But then again the message states at the end,"There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the board again."
So even if you include the whole reply,they would still visit the board to continue with any further notifications.

Sorry to ramble.
It's just my opinion. :knockedout:
