subscribing when posting

ive seen on other forums this, but it doesnt have it on the one I have... or maybe the option is one I cant find :(

but i need a hack that subscribes you to threads when you post in them

im sure its been done, so if you can redirect me, or tell me how to do it, thatd be awesome :)
