is there a free version that i can d/l or something.. i dont need a full version for my site... just one to play with for now... thanx :bandit:

You can download the cut down vBLite, it will not entertain the same features as the full version of vBulletin though. vB Lite was made for testing your server out to make sure it will handle vBulletin, it was not made for actual community use.

Does anybody know of a free host like geocities or 50megs.com that will host the vblite forum.. i want to try it out , but niether of my sites will work with it

There are not many free hosts that support both PHP & MySQL (I can not think of any off the top of my head). If you really are planning on purchasing vBulletin, I suggest you go with pay hosting, this way you for sure know what you are getting without any doubt.

If you are looking to test vBulletin out, there are plenty of cheaper hosts out there (under $10/per month) if you will just look for them. vBulletin.com has a whole section dedicated to hosts and feedback on the (pay hosting only).
