As long as he activates his name through e-mail he can post, just can't download stuff until he shows he is licensed.

Henry-RS, please restore the vBulletin/Jelsoft copyright to your footer template? Right now you are in violation of the license agreement. At a minimum the copyright must read:

vBulletin, Copyright ©2000 - 2002, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.

Henry-RS

It says powered by vbulletin 2.2.6 ....

I need more than that?

It needs to be at a minimum:

vBulletin, Copyright ?2000 - 2002, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.

Nothing less. Your site is breaking the license agreement, and Jelsoft can withdraw your license at any time at the moment.

I can't do it right now, but I will talk to my graphics designer when he wakes up tomorrow and get that fixed right up.

Cool postbits are just require a good idea and a bit of work.
Synthesis owns:
http://www.zelaron.com/forums/index.php?styleid=1 (http://www.zelaron.com/forums/index.php?styleid=1&referrerid=110)
One thing I noticed is that on some of the forums listed, the postbit sometimes got messed up because tables didn't size as expected the first time I loaded a page. Sure, refreshing made it go away, but you can write the HTML/CSS in such a way that tables not sized as expected have no/minimal effect on how it looks, depending on where exactly the problem occurrs. Of course, you could just call me a crazy perfectionist.

I think that your postbit is a bit OTT - the whole forums IMO :)

You have some of the images which seemed blurry and i mean the blue on black looks horrendous

WetWired

OTT meaning?

If you don't like the black bg, try x79, an experimental style I never finished.

Dean C

OTT = over the top

Wow that bg is lovely - far better but i still think your graphics are too much in places :)

Wetwired, the site looks nice, but I just can't adjust to having the postbit on the right side. It's like trying to write with your right hand after 25 years of being a lefty. ;)

WetWired

 The postbit should take up the whole window width.
The user info is on the right, however.

Well, if it's over the top, I guess that's because we were aiming for as different as possible. One of the defining charactoristics of the average vB is lots of 1px lines dividing things, so of course we had to kill the lines, and swap the user info, and all sorts of other crazy things ;). The one feature that we added that I think all vBs should add is the columns on the thread info icon. It's so confusing to figure out what those default icons mean, so I redid them in columns, put a nice little pic on the column header and changed the explanation a bit, and all the sudden those icons become usefull again. That, and kill all that vertical padding between thread info to shorten the forum display like we did.

For those that don't like or who's connection handle the saturation of graphic goodness in Synthesis, we still have our more traditional styles, such as Zephios and Night Vision, but the majority of our users stick with Synthesis, which is actually amazing, because before Synthesis, all the regulars had a different favorite style...
