This script I was written some month ago. It was my first script written in php and mysql. Some people questioned me for this script, so I want to release it now.
I did my best translating it to english. It is now available in German and English (sometimes) ;)
I tested it with:
YaBB 1 Gold and vB 2.2.5
and
"German YaBB Coders" v1.1 Build 3.4 and vB 2.2.6

Ouch! A week too late for me. Well thanks for posting it. I'm sure others will find it useful!

DigitalPIMP, I believe it just transfers your users, posts, threads to your vb tables...
This is for yabb php right?

I think you should have your data and this script on the server running the vB.

It would be really good to see some support for the PHP version of YABB(se). I strongly believe that in order to get a bigger market share of the BB market, then someone (either at VBULLETIN or freelance) needs to put together an export script from YABBSE to VBULLETIN 2.2.x.
With the extremely knowledgeable coders/hackers on this board, surely someone must be able to come up with something?
And yes I, personally could use this to move from YABBSE to VBULLETIN 2.2.x. If I knew anything about PHP and MySQL then I would have at least given a go, but I don't.
Please Guys?

<font size="4">
we are using Yabbse that already runs on mysql. After we purchased a copy of VB, the converter you directed us to use seems to convert ONLY Yabb (cgi-bin versoin) to VB.
Is there a converter that will help us convert from Yabbse v 1.0.0 that is runing on MYSQL to VB ?
now we cant run new vb we must convert all data to member
may anybody help us and write this convertor to us???
as u saw we purchased a legal copy...

Hello All!
You can try to use beta version of the yaBB SE 2 vB converter.
It is based on yaBB 2 vB converter. :)

Success!
YaBB 1.2 Gold
vB 2.3.0
Converted the users with no problems and the posts.
The only thing that looks funny in the posts is the way it handles quotes but I can live with that :)
Thanks for this converter!!
side note.. the path to your yabb data is relative to the directory the php files are installed.. NOT your home dir i.e. /usr/local/blah/blah
I've used this hack and am having some trouble in getting it to do what I want it to. I just need a decent how-to on the conversion procedure, do I create identical forum section names in my VBB script and then run the converter or use a blank VBB database with no forum sections installed or what??

This is a stand-allone-script. You can use it without your vB-script.
In settings.php you can choose in witch sub-forum you wish to insert your yabb-data.
First you have to convert members-data, next the posts and forums-data.
Boothby, much appreciated, I'll let you know how I get on!

Hey all, I would possibly be looking to convert a board running YaBB 1 Gold - SP 1.3.1 to vB 2.3.2, would this be possible?
