Ok, this hack is for those of you, which have a board about more than one thematic, so you can use special post icons in just one forum, in no other Forum, such an icon could be seen.

Ok, Version 1.30 has been uploaded!

Now you can set icons to more than one forum.

No more updates are planned, so you could call this a final version (except i found a big mistake or get a very good idea to improve it ;))

Well...

Its great!

Here maybe an idea - Perhaps you can set it to all forums but one? I.e. Enter the forum number, with a "-" symbol infront of it, so that all forums bar, say "-5" (forumid = 5), can use it?

Also - Could this be adapted for Smilies too?

good idea satan i think i can implement it
*put it on to do list*

hmm, i have to look how smiliecode is parsed and showed exactly, so perhapsn it can be adapted to Smilies, too, but for now i don't think it would be as easy as this
*would remeber it ;)*

Hmmm...

If it could, it would be double is weight worth in gold...Or some variation of that saying:)

??
shouldn't be a problem with my hack.
do you have ALTER permissions?

if it really dont work, go into phpmyadmin delete field specialforumid and recreate it with the options you can see in the query

uhhh, its a fresh installed vb too?
shouldnt it work without a hitch?
it is 2.28 tho hummm..

Xenon

it's a fresh vb install?

then you dont have to run these two queries.
as you can read in my installation file, they're just for upgrades from versions below 1.30 from my hack

Xenon, through your hack you reference posticons. What I'm trying to do is to show the post icon that refers to a particular sessionid. What would be the syntax I would use?

Sorry but I've only seen your hack that deals with posticons in great detail. Help is much appreciated :)

on sessionid?????

well that wouldn't be that easy, but you can try it to install my hack and replace all forum with a session ....

Greetings:

I'd be willing to pay to have a version of this hack that worked with smilies as well, if anyone's interested in taking on the challenge (for vb 2.3 as it'll be a looong time before I upgrade to 3.0)
