//Custom Background Hack
//By Justin Bauer(Heijin/Allusional Chaos)

//
// Basically what this hack does is lets your users enter a URL to a background that will be the background of their postinfo area on the postbit. Not a big hack, not really a hack much at all, but It gives your users more customizability, what they want. Thanks to GamerForums for the inspiration.

It looks much better if your post bit doesn't have mongo tables like mine, it works well with a postbit like any of the ones here. or the default for that matter. but can be put in well.
A demo can be viewed at my board. http://www.therpgia.com

call me a blind guy, but where do you made changes in functions.php?
in your install:
Files to be edited:
admin/functions.php
also profilefield hidden?
doesn't this mean users cannot see them ^^ (so how edit it ^^)
and third: i'd make a checkimagesize function in it, so users cannot use megabyte backgrounds ;)

Didn't I just suggest this in another of your hacks? It's the same hack, just with a different template edit?

Not the same hack. It's rather different.
Updated file Xenon.

No it means that when someone views their profile. It's not on there.

I'm fairly new at this and wouldn't know how to go about that. Maybe you could help me?

outch, ok next time i should look in the descriptions before write such about profilefields ^^
well, you have to hack the members.php, not just template-changes as you've done till now here... (actually its the wrong forum to post this thread)
you're right, i'd can doo, but what abaout a small training for ya?
look at the avatar-section and see how it is made there, then try to implement it into your code
best way to learn...

Pictures or a demo perhaps? That is, a demo that doesn't require me to sign up at someone's board, because I'm rather lazy. I could use my imagination...but I'm not feeling up to it right now :p
The description looks good though, but I do think it would make a forum with an awesome style look quite crappy.

Yeah that's the only drawback, and why I suggested it perhaps becomes a small part of the postbit HTML table, in another thread.

i like the idea of this
what i would like to do is instead of letting members link to anything they want, why not limit it to backgrounds that you select so that backgrounds look ok with the post bit
this would work similar to themes where normal colours would be the default and then other options would include other backgrounds ;)

I was going to make that mod to this after I made some presets.
