is it possible to put all threads in the same forum, but not allow people to make new threads in there, and a column saying what forum the thread comes from? or to display the new threads on the forum home?

Try doing a search for it, someone probably made a hack on it..

Vincent]I didn't come up with much in the search but I suggest installing vBStats, it has alot of addons for it, I believe one is 10 last posts

yes, it is possible, but i don't understand why to do so?
if it's just an archiving function, my archivhack (see sig) has such included, but you cannot, post into threads anymore.

what im thinking is that users are lazy, and are not visiting all forums, i think if we gave them an option for a forum with all threads in 1 then there would be lots more replies, and therefore a busier board.
