Requested in a few topics, so i decided to release this.

Hack: Msn in post

What this dose: Allows user to input their msn info in via their User CP's, If they do this then a msn icon will be in their post (postbit template), this links to their profile and in a alt tag shows their info

In Next Verson: a java pop-up with the users msn name

Info: Template driven, query optimized, easy to install

Text install in zip and all icons needed.

After looking at the install instructions, it seemed to match what I was trying to do, so I went ahead and installed it. Worked like a charm and is a really nice hack.

Just so you know the instructions, you need to switch step 2 and 3, I was unable to do step 3 after I did step 2. I then flip flopped the steps and it worked fine.

This changes put two images in your postbit une make pop up the add a contac window of msn meseenger and add the other image make to send an instant massage to the person who ow tha email address.. that imag pop up the messenger..

Note that i put $post[field6] cause the fiel id for msn email is 6 but if you never before have add an other field your fiel id must be 5...

you can go to my forum and see that working... but i have a problen that works even if you are not registered..

Make sure you fix vBulletin's "code mangling" when copying/pasting the above code. Notice that it changes the single word "javascript" to two words - "java script"

Oh - and you can't test this with your own MSN account, since you can't send messages to yourself.

Hmm, I'm getting:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `']'' in /home/blahblah/admin/functions.php(222) : eval()'d code on line 1

I merely cut and paste, and swapped the asterisk thus:

What am I missing here?
