I have a forum running an IB3 DBM not MySQL. But I can't find any vB convertors to to get my posts on vB. All I've been able to find is IB2 or IB3 MySQL.
I'm considering converting to a phpBB2 first then going from there to vB. Has anyone tried this if there isn't a IB3DBM->Vb?

You could always convert your ikonboard to MYSQL first.
(this can be done from within ikonboard)
Then do the conversion to vBulletin.
I had to do this for a client about 2-3 weeks ago
And it was approx 90-95 successful and reasonably simple to do
Just make sure you back up everything first

Thank you for this. It's helping me already.
Basically what I had done was installed a fresh version of IB3 mySQL on the server that my vB is running on since I noted that the import script required that your IB3 be on the same server that your vB is on. My previous Ikonboard was not.
So then I took my DBM backup and tried to install it into the IB3 MySQL version. From what I understand it should work as soon as a figure out how to clear the mySQL tables. I already successfully imported the DBM version to a DBM database on that board. Now it's just a matter of getting it converted to mySQL and then to VB.
You don't by chance know how to clear the MySQL tables IB created do you. I'm a novice so I fear I'm going to take the whole board down.

Have a read of the link posted above
Make a full copy of your existing board first
Then do all the conversions on that
That way there will be 100% no chance of your rel site being affected

Thanks I managed to get everything situated and get my IB on my new VBulletin.
This is how I did it:
1. First I backed up the IkonBoard DBM database.
2. Then I installed a fresh version of ikonboard MySQL on the server that my VB was on. (Not in the same database though)
3. Went into ikonboard Admin CP on new setup and setup the DBM database.
4. imported the DBM backup into the DBM database version of IB3.1
5. Went into PHPMyAdmin on my webserver and emptied the tables.
6. Went into AdminCp an IB3.1 and imported the DBM database into mySQl by choosing mySQl fromt eh drop down menu.
7. Went into Admin Cp on vB and used teh import script to import Database from IB3.1 mySQl to VB
Everything worked out great. Thankyou for showing me that link.
