but im trying to write a hack for it for a rap board that im a member of... i generally proficient w/ PHP, but i don't know much about vB though i do know some... is there anywhere where i can ask hacking questions without being a vB owner?? i can easily find a warez version online, but that ain't legal so i don't want to do that, and that ain't gunna help anyway cuz i need people that know what they are talking about, and im banned from the two forums i could go to ask questions...

Touche...
And logically you probably won't get support here because you need the vBulletin files to edit, and you need to buy the vBulletin files.

The owner of the board that you are writing a hack for could get you access to the forums. If he doesn't trust you enough to do that, he probably wouldn't install any hack you write anyway.

How can you write hacks for vBulletin without having the files?

well the only file i will need to change is add a few lines to the admin CP index.php file which will add a link, the rest of it is all php code i have written, but i need help w/ how the vb database is structured in order to get and put information into the database... the file im writing is mine though, i only need to edit one vB file, possibly two, i might edit the user.php file a little bit, but i should only need to edit the index.php file, and i can do that easily...
BTW: filburt you could always unban me so i can ask for support by the php guru's over there...

Skitchen8, to get support you will need to have the licensed owner of that board go to this (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/vbulletin.org.php) page and enter your username. Thank you.

What's the point of having webserver-server-side-code that you have to pay for? I think it is rather silly.
