Is there a way to add an extra Admin CP Password to the Login screen?
So that only admins with that password can access it...

If you have Cpanel, you can password protect your /admin directory and create accounts for that...
I have done that so when you go to forum/admin, you're prompted with a username and password, then you get to the login screen for the ACP, and then you put in your user information :)

Yeh...
I just got access to our site's CPanel, after our former Webmaster completely deleted the ENTIRE database...
CPanel is really an achievement:D

i tried to convice PPN to release his hack related to htaccess... :p
firefly, make us all happy. you will have another HotM guaranteed (at least from me :)).
the best way for this hack would be to create a table that adds all the admin names and passwords, so you dont have to enter it twice... really cool hack by PPN... not released unfortunatelly... there is a trick in there that uses some smart username/password manipulations... i will look into it... but for you firefly should take you 5min to make it. :p
thanks for looking into this.

I am on the verge of completing an "advanced board protection" hack. I hoping to solve many issues regarding:
password security
brute force attacks
locking attackers
identifying, logging, tracking attackers and taking automatic actions for attackers (like banning) (they will be busted bad!) ;)
increased security for members accounts/special accounts (like admins/s.mods/mods)
advanced admin cp access protection.
admin configurable advanced password rules.
Hellsatan: Sorry for your board. But I recall I warned you here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?postid=259779#post259779). Even the most secure system cant protect you if you give access to people you dont trust very well. I insist you should really not grant anybody Site Admin priviliges. Make them Super Moderators if necessary..
