Hello fellow hackers,

Please nominate away! Last month wasn't all that great. I hope we can improve this month. So go for it! :D

Here are some guidelines for the nominating.

1. This month only 5 nominees will be accepted.
2. You can nominate your own hack, but you must sit out a month before you can nominate it again.
3. If your hack wins it cannot be nominated again for a year. (Maybe we'll have a Hack of the Year!)
4. If somebody else nominates your hack the month after you nominated your own, the nomination will be accepted.
5.***Important!***Nominations will be accepted until the end of the month.
6. The criteria for judging a hack is solely left to the subjective perspective of each voter. So anything goes.
7. **Please obide!** When you make a nomination please include a link to the hack.
8. ***Important!***All nominations recieved will be thrown into a hat and 5 final nominees will be pulled. This selection will be 100% random!
9. *** NEW *** The nominator of the winning hack gets a prize as well, so start nominating!

If you have any more opinions/ ideas for other guidelines or opinions on these guidelines, please feel free to post them.

p.s. I would like to have a few graphics/logos like there are for Board of the Month. If someone would like to make a vB Hack of the Month logo go for it. I will then post it in the winner's circle along with credit for your work.

With due respect:

What's the point of voting the hack of month if the preliminary election is random? Does the elected "hack of month" really deserves the title considering the fact that a much better, much loved nominee might be thrown out in the begining just by luck?

argh, so many great hacks make it so tough to choose. The two that really stand out to me are VBQuiz by TWTCommish and New PM's in header by Nakkid. Although my members really utilize the hack by Nakkid, as do I, since it makes the PM system so much nicer.

So my vote goes to Nakkid's New PM in Header (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37427) hack. ;)

Yeah, tough call. vbMicroStats is the most useful hack I've got installed, but vBQuiz 1.0 gets my nomination since it simply owns. :D

Whoa!!! July 29 and I almost missed voting.

My vote definitely goes for My Bookmarks Hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41113) by Bad Madman (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=487).


Not only is it a great hack, but the instructions are simple and the whole layout is very well thoughout. Best of all, he keeps improving on an already impressive hack.

Okay, it would be a crime if John's Tetris Leaderboard (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42293) hack didn't win HOTM for July and August.

Most definitely Flash Player or John's Tetris hack...Same Concept really, but the vB tetris game itself is extremely high quality, a few quirks at the moment, but he seems dedicated enough to fix things in a timely fashion. Plus my users (And myself) adore those hacks...

Chen does not want HOTM to run until vB3 comes out. As for a reason, best you ask him yourself.
