The opening of vBulletinTemplates becomes closer and closer as the days pass by. Currently, we are looking for help from everyone here at vBulletin.org that has done some sort of template modification to their forum(s).
If you have made some sort of template modification and you would like to share it with everyone, please it to tutorials@vbulletintemplates.com and it will be added to the current DB of tutorials we have.
While on the look for basic template modifications (ie: modifications to any of the templates), modifications are also being looked for to specific templates such as the:
- Postbit Template (graphical or not)
- GetInfo Template (graphical or not)
Please Note: We already have the following in the database (we are only listing a few, not all, just to be clear :)):
- Category Spacing
- Category Backgrounds
- Forum Header under Categories
- Code Boxes (instead of HR's)
- Centered Catgories
- Mouse-Over Effects
Please do not send in the above template modifications, they will not be eligable for addition being we already have them.
While if you have a template modification that you made and it is original, it is welcome. You will be given full credit for the modification in both the initial post and the download.
All that I ask is that the format of the instructions be kept neat, I have provided an example below. You may use this to go by when writing up your own tutorials.
Thank ahead of time to anyone that participates in helping the growth of vBulletinTemplates!

Do you have one for a User/Forum Info box on forumhome? Kinda like the Welcome Panel but without the avatar?

How come u open up a different site for each thing? Buttons, Tempaltes, Styles, etc? Not that I am critizing you at all, it just doesn't seem economical?

Sometimes criticism is good :), but back to your question. I feel that by opening single websites for each, helps to organize things a little more than I could by opeing one website with many sections. BBAddons was originally founded as a graphics resource and has it trip around as more than that, but visitors/members seemed to like the idea of the graphics & styles being centralized so it was reverted back.
I don't like the idea of mixing free and paid material together, so combining vBulletinGraphics (a paying graphics resource) with BBAddons would contradict that. The reason for this is because if you start out with a free based graphics website (ie: BBAddons) then introduce paid graphics, the users are used to the free graphics and may not like the idea of the new section being added when you have to pay for graphics (while they may want or like to have the paid ones, they may not be able to afford them - $5 is not a lot, but for some it is - so they have to make due with what they can get at the time).
vBulletinTemplates.com was opened as a way to organize and centralize all the template modifications and template "hackers" (although that it is not really the correct term to use). There will be a section for all template modifications, postbit modifications, support queries (for modification only, not vBulletin code support), along with a few others.
vBulletinGraphics.com is the only website that brings in revenue, which I am fine with. This website helps pay for finaces to keep current and future websites alive and running. With the free based sites I run, I don't force them to donate, while it does help, it is not demanded.

herectic - vBulletinTemplates is a template modification resource, I don't think slicing would fall in to that category ;). I do appreciate the effort though :).
Plat. - I will await your e-mail after you sort through your "crap" ;).

As long as it falls under template modifications, there is not any specifics. I am basically looking for tutorials on how to modify the templates, the more original, the better (no specfic templates either).

I am sure there are more people here that have done some "un-released" template modifications that they are wanting to release ;) - Releasing them will help vBT grow and will contribute to the website opening a little sooner that normal.
The template modifications are not limited to any one template, rather, open to all templates.
I look forward to seeing what all of you can do ;)
