Please go to http://forums.asianxo.com/showthread.php?threadid=632 and under each undername, there is a blinking level bar...how do I go about getting this exact hack(no stars hack please :) )?

they've just made their own alternatives for the star images...

Yes, that looks to me they are using the stars hack, while using different images. Just because it is called the stars hack, does not mean you actually have to use stars ;).
