NEED an experienced vBulletin hacker to create a merger between my freelance scripts and vB. Create the necessary templates, styles and tabes. PHP and MySQL are obviously the languages.
The tables for the freelancers are created but the members are currently inserted into a CGI script. So the tables are currently empty.
The interface should include the login in of members to vB include their portfolio. Their posts will show their feedback rating (left in stars) and number of finished jobs.
An example of a freelance profile (this should be intigrated with the vBulletin profiles) is at: http://www.visibleimpact.com/cgi-bin/freelancers/freelancers.cgi?viewprofile=sengerdw2
The forums to be hacked are at: http://www.visibleimpact.com/forums/
The graphic design is basically utilizing existing templates.
The goal: Continue existing job posting and feedback profiles within the forums. Allow the editorials and interview to be updated in the vB templates.
The classifieds and pay-per-click search engine can remian seperate or be omitted.
This will be an interesting job for the vB pros out there and if you are interested in becoming staff with profit sharing - I AM VERY INTERESTED IN THE PARTNERSHIP. When we become Inc. this you could be part of the executive staff if interested.
Indicate your visions and experience in vB scripting.
Reply or PM me. Contact me for any suggestions or questions.

The copywriting and integration can be done on my side. For example, updating the forum FAQ templates and inserting content into the templates you create.
I would like this to be an ongoing relationship for future help and updating vB versions. Basically when vB 3.0 is realeased I would call upon you for another installation since you know which PHP's need to be rescripted. So include the costs of each future upgrade. And if you are interested in a profit sharing relationship with the site. This would be ideal - as you would become my promary vB programmer.

Okay, basically I have a PHP version (about 10 files) of my freelance script ready to go and the tables installed. So this is not being made from the ground up.
A demo of the current admin interface can be provided PM. These fields would be made part of Admin in vB.
I do not mind asking them to resubmit their information by forwarding them back the information they submitted the first time. Currently, as in right this minute, there are 66 freelancers. If I were to add any to the tables I have about 20 resumes to insert out of the 66. But no complicated feedback profiles exist, right now... so I would like to get this finished prior to that happening. ;) But to make it an easier hack, just make it capable. I can handle the members  with our current mailing list.
But again the PHP version is on my server with the tables in mySQL, not being used. So this would use that now. Basically it is programmed the exact same way as the CGI files - just database-backed. NO NEW FREELANCE programming will be needed for this and the current PHP files can be used and tweaked as needed. JUST vB PROGRAMMING and any mods needed to integrate.
SUCH AS, IF A FREELANCER ASKS FOR A PROJECT THEY WOULD GET FEEDBACK AS A BUYER. This may require some modification to integrate the two accounts. Probably very little, just to show their status in a project. A buyer or freelancer. These are currently seperate accounts in the scripts.
I would like to display in the users profile their accumualtive total earnings at the site. (A logo for $100, Web template for $200; $300 next to their username or in their profile)
The freelance members are in usergroups: Computer programmers, graphic artists, copywriters, photographers, video editors and webmasters. All being able to work together for help in projects and discussion.
The buyer accounts can desolve and be prompted to resubmit. As of this writing no feedback ratings have been left. And no feedback profiles.
Currently the welcome window hack, auto PM* and quick reply box is installed. Future updates of the vB would be considered for you to perform if necessary. Basically if this requires hacking up a lot of the basic scripts.
The awards hack would be similar to the feedback stars to be put in the users threads and the special user status icon given to members with the minimum feedback quality (ie, over ten finished projects with a minimum 9 out of 10 stars average). The feedback star rating or username should link to their feedback page generated by my PHP scripts. Basically you click either there username, feedback stars, total earnings or a seperate button (I can make) located on the bottom of all threads. A pop-up window would probably be best to display their past projects can feedbacks generated by my scripts.
*I would like PM turned off for basic users. Limited to Mods, admin, and special users (9 out of 10 stars average with at least 10 feedbacks as written by the program). This should be able to be applied in the control panel.
The open projects window would be links I can make from the scripts as seen in my current page at http://www.visibleimpact.com/freelance.html. The top 3 are displayed with java script and than a link to all open projects. I would probably put this top 3 or 5 open projects in the board header. Already configurable with my current programming.
Basically their profile would now include: their up to 10 star feedback average. Their written profile and link to portfolio (in the script). Thier average hourly cost. Their usergroup affiliation (allow multiple selections).
Their control panel would now include their account in USD. An option to send money to another member (another freelancer or just a buyer member). The script variables are set to allow deposits by PayPal and 2CheckOut.com or postal mail. Their generated account balance history. And their job status, open jobs feedback still needed to be left or jobs still needed to be paid for. All money transfers are done by them depositing money into thier account and than transferring it to another member.
I do not know how long this will take - I guess that depends on the coder and available hacks that can be modified. Let me know what you estimate. And an estimate should I need to call you later for a new option or maintenance request. ;)
And a time frame, if needed, for the board to be shutdown. "Sorry we're closed for 3 days as we connest Ms Freelancer with Mr vB in Holy matremony. :bunny: "
This project is really left up to interpretation and creativity. The programmer should be able to integrate my current freelance PHP scripts - but apply thier own two cents along the way. Surprise me. I know there are some clever vB hackers!
Thanks for the fast interests...

Integrity is kept by the cumaltive total display and the feedback display. These help them "keep transactions on the site". The scripts allow variables for the site to collect project commission from either buying or freelancing transactions. The set percentage withdrawls from their total. If they go below zero they are sent a warning mesage. They can become frozen if they fail to stay above zero. They can also have their IP and e-mail banned if they do not comply with the Web sites commissions.

Once the a member is picked for the project. The buyer's project becomes frozen until they agree. Once they agree than the options to send payment and/or leave feedback is generated for the members. All this is already programmed but needs to be added to the member control panel.

Elance bids are running from $50(must be REALLY bored :smoke: ) to $450.
This gives you an idea on what others took on the range after given demo scripts of both the freelance PHP app and vBulletin.
But those folks kind of scare me... I am not sure if they know the interface and how to keep it safe. I want it vB just new admin features and user interface features.
One of them said "We are familuar with vBBulletin." Obviously not enough to spell it right ;)

I was just wondering... if I hire this Elance.com freelance administrator (very qualified) for $350 to perform this for me... is he going to fu  - mess up my boards?
I still want this to be within regs and capable of future upgrades...
How difficult is it for outside IT's to learn vB community scripting? :tired:

scsa20 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=8203) has a good portal interface at http://www.simon-soft.com/
Something like this may help manage our editorials and interviews by us and our members.
