hey ppl my forums the owner gave admin powers to me ... and I need some help

I want sub forums in my cooling and classifieds etc etc - but I cant get sub forums working where they are not shown on the main page....


forum.oc-forums.com/vb has it right and I am sure others do to but I dont see in the admin cp where I set htis up correctly.

sub forums is a hack. :)


anyway, i dont like the colors cause black is over done, the default buttons look out of place with the colors, same with the red text and blue bars. but it looks good for a forum just starting out, ill be waiting to see what your ganna do with it :)

thanks!! I love constructive critisism - the black was done I find it much easier on the eyes..... I work on a computer 16+ hours a day so my eyes get sore and tired easily..

the sub forums is my next hack - I had stars but dumped as it is done in almost every forum I see and I hate that idea...

I am not a fan of mostly black styles, I would suggest adding a few other colors to the general style other than black. Right now, the forum is rather bland and all of the forums clash together because there are not any colors to seperate them (make things stand out a little more :)).

I personally would also ditch the default vBulletin buttons :) - maybe some black buttons (or another color). I have plenty up for download at BBAddons.com (see the vBulletin section - styles are availible also).

ok guys I changed the colors up and got my subforums working...

feels like it makes a WORLD of difference! as it is easier to find the categories and such... and the colors bring new life to it.

any other suggestions? the buttons are next!! and then some killer smilies

frist off id recomend upgrading to 2.2.5 or 2.2.6 beta.

the blue kinda classes with the black, id go for a dark color other then black to match the blue, and id also get other buttons then the default purple
