Threads since last post

at one time i had a hack that not only allowed you to click on a link to see new threads, but it also showed you how many new threads had occured since your last visit. i thought I had it tonight but after installing it , it only provides a view new threads link without saying how many new posts have occured.

can someone help me find this one?
