random quote on main page (not forums) controlled through forums cp??

ive seen a hack that is random quotes on forum home page controlled by admins.. does any know how to, or know of, basically the same thing except on a home page instead of the forums home page?

if u want it to run using the same quotes as the forumhome...

firstly ur homepage must be a php file...

then just add the php-coding into it and the template stuff in the appropriate place
