I just got a friend to sign up on my forums, he was email an activation code, and i said dont worry, i'll just set you to the registered group via the admin CP so he didn't need to open outlook and all...

anyway, I changed the box to "registered" and hit the submit button, I then got a database error, this is what it saidDatabase error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.5:

Invalid SQL: SELECT userid
FROM user
WHERE username='EvilTom'
AND userid <>
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 4

mysql error number: 1064

Date: Tuesday 21st of May 2002 02:06:44 PM
Script: http://www.consoleradar.com/forums/forums/admin/user.php
Referer: http://www.consoleradar.com/forums/admin/user.php?action=edit&userid=51EvilTom is my friends name...

Anyway, he opened outlook, and got the email, following the link worked fine and he was moved to the registered group, so it looks like its only the admin CP with the problem...

what have I done? what do i need to post for you guys to help?

OK, thanks :)

Alan

You are using PHP 4.2.0, patch the files from vBulletin.com's Announcements forum.
