Welcome Panel Search

i edited the welcome panel for an extra table where i could have a search form, but i cant figure out the code for the search, if someone could post it it would help me tons.... and also i was wondering what the template is for the titles to each table, like if i were to put an image on each table header instead of just text what template would i use? thanks a lot
