Another Admin tried to install a hack from http://www.phpportals.com/index.php at one of the boards I'm Admin at.

The problem is something went wrong and now the default style set seems to be gone.

The main forums page is now constantly set to default VB colours for any guest/member not logged in. (Members can set the style for themselves in the User CP). However none of the style sets in the Admin CP are actually set with the default VB colours. I therefore can't change it.

I was under the impression that the default style set could not be deleted (i.e. the delete option simply wouldn't be there). However all the style sets are deletable. :paranoid:

I went into chat to see if anyone there could help me. We worked out that the admin/vbulletin.style file had been removed. I managed to get the file from a backup but it's not changing anything, and when I try to install it, it still doesn't change anything and it disappears from the admin folder altogether.

I'm wondering if anyone here could suggest anything? I'd be really grateful. :)

As far as I am aware, the only way to recover you style is from a database backup of when you had that style in place working in the forums.

vbPortal requires you to overwrite the default style with its own for it to work properly which is why it has removed your style.

the admin/vbulletin.style is the default vB style, which is used to revert changes and show the origional template.

Yes, I've tried putting that style back in using the ftp program. But the undeletable default style still isn't showing it in the Admin CP, even when I import it locally. And once I have imported it locally, it disappears from the ftp file list. :paranoid:
