Pickpocket in Lesane Store

As promised It's new version of steal addon to the Lesane Store.
At last the crime on my board is under control.
I translated all templates, but It's not the best english version.
Hope the instruction is full and understandable.

If you have the Lesane Store hack, it gives your users the ability to Pickpocket others.

How so? Like a probability of stealing from someone, and if you fail you lose money or your chances of stealing go lower? And by success it goes up?

I think it is just random that you are successful. If you fail, you either lose money or get banned for a short amount of time (at least that was the original idea). I don't know how exactly he wrote it in though.

ban to steal last 20 points

there are some errors in the file:

$stealm should be $stealmoney towards the bottom. (you can just search for "$stealm;")

also, the two lines that give pms to the admin about stealing is causing trouble, never worked from the start, just threw sql errors out. i just commented them out since i dont want my pm box flooded anyways.

maybe if it could post to one thread in a forum that has access only to mods.

also, which version of the karma hack did you use? cuz there is no KARMA in user or where it was in the version i installed.

$stealm is allright. It's from template. Believe me.
PM's from ADMIN to the victim. Don't know. It works on my board. The only difference in language. I try to study
I used hardly changed version of some karma hack which someone asked me to tune. I don't know the original hack and didn't see it here. In any case It's just some field in the user table. If you have anything similar you can use it or delete.

Well, I installed successfully.. but when I attempt to steal.. after the conformation page.. I get a DB error..

You are right. Store_file is used only in my store.
Delete it as I did :classic:
I'm using store_file to store users transactions.
Also I recommend to add insurance and godfather (or any other internal user account) in safe (unstealing) space. Just as admin account: if ($getduser[usergroupid]=="6") { // don't steal from admin. Move those accounts to admin usergroup (usergroupid=6). Or replace to if ($getduser[usergroupid]=="6" OR $getduser[userid]=='INSURANCEID') {

? I can't say what is wrong with your database. But you can try one more, or just use PHPmyADMIN to add the line directly

It means you should to register new user with nick "Godfather",
which userid="GODFATHERID". The same with user "INSURANCE".

There are a lot of karma hacks. In my case table user includes field with name KARMA. If you have any other similar field (points, rating... etc.) try to change KARMA to this one.

you need to set DMINID to your admin id in the command.

ok find your admin userid

should be 2

hover over your profile file link in any of "your" posts and look at the buttom of ie

you should see somthing like

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=8741

make a note of that id

then in the instuctions.txt

find

// change ADMINID (should be in it twice)

in that line you will see DMINID just after NULL,$usid,$usid,

remove dminid and put in your admin id you made a note of before.

so you finished line should look like this

you have to bribe the police which will cost about $500 and someone trys to rob from you.. and they fail you get the money they tryed to rob. rather than the money just getting droped from the board. :)

It's simple. You can tune police, mafia, insurance etc. rules
I didn't understand your case economics. Police get $500 from user. Ok. Who pay to user? What is a source of money? ;)

the way it is now when a member trys to rob from another member and fails the money gets taken off that member.

and thats that.

But if the member who you tryed to rob from as insurance "police" the money you tryed to rob goes to that user

somthing like

This worked for me until I edited my database. I edited the database so that my users could have an unlimited amount of money and also could have a negative amount of money. Could this have affected how this works? My users can now steal regardless how much money they have. :confused:

It' very simple and depends on fatum number $fatum=time()%2;. Robbery is successful when $fatum<>0.

If you change to $fatum=time()%3 you decrease the chance of success. But if you also change if ($fatum) to oppose if (!$fatum) you increase your chances. :)

Whever someone fails a steal on my board...the page simply goes blank. Is the url or path incorrect? Could that cause it? If so, WHERE (what file or what template) would I need to modify to fix it? And what would the new path be? ie....www.myurl.net/forums/whattheheckgoeshere?

It seems to work fine when the steal is successful...just not when it is unsuccessful.

Did u Know you can steal from the godfather and the insurance guy as they are just normal members and aint protected as such.

I have tried and got the dosh quite easy.
As they aint set to admins they are excluded from being protected and seeing as the insurance guy is the one with all the money is there anyway to protect him besides setting him to Admin Status.
Also one small point is there any way to make the insurance guy pay up more to u if u are insured.

I did a test and has 5000 points so i got a test account to steal it and insurance paid me 521 what a rip off

As per Gensec, I used the following line (copy/paste) to make it so that people can't steal from Insurance or Godfather (it's ok to steal from admins though). I replaced his original line that he posted:

It'd be nice to be able to control it...like making it be that even thiefs have to have $100 in the positive before they can steal. But it doesn't appear to work that way. It will only prevent theft if they are in the negative balance.

Also, did you know that when they are penalized...they can still get around not being able to post...by simply using the Quick Reply box? Is there a code we can use to prevent them from using the Quick Reply box if they are being penalized (negative balance)?

Agreed 100%. I have some members who will just continue hitting the back button over and over to steal from another person. They get negative balances eventually, and when they quit, they will have a lot of "begging" for $$$ to do to be able to post...but it doesn't stop the problem.

It's the forum's adinistrator id. It won't have to be your super admin's id. Any admin id will do.

I just installed the hack and besides the aforementioned 'bad english' and store 2.0 changes for the queries I've had no problems less one (not an interference, but as someone mentioned it appears above the header):

Create a new user that's going to be your police man. Everywhere you were told to place AdminID, place the userid of the police account instead.

Just for future reference there are grammatical errors and a custom template or two may be necessary since some of the restrictions link to the wrong template or a wrongly worded template. This is why alot of people are encountering the "I have x posts/dollars can't steal while someone can. Those who know their way around templates and PHP should go through the references in the coding so they know what's what and make the necessary corrections to the templates wording.

Part 1: Trying to steal: Like I mentioned earlier, some of the template replies are worded wrong or wrongly linked. Double check the # of post needed AND the amount of cash you have when you try to steal. Both affect your response.
Part 2: SQL Error: Your error says it all. Did you make sure to run the three necessary queries? If you don't have an insurance field, you didn't run the query or you typed it in wrong and ended up with a field named something else. This has nothing to do with the insurance user.

If that is quoted directly from the file, that comma doesn't belong there and it's the reason you're getting that error. Remove the comma and all should be well.

Just remove that image from the templates (store_steal_insurance and store_steal_mafia) or insert your own image. That image link is old, it used to be an image of two eyes. It doesn't do anything, the option is already enabled, it was just there for looks.
