A little history first......

While installing the "attachments as files" hack I realized that I could now make my files page hack/mod/template mod whatever you want to call it by uploading a douplicate set of templates and calling it "Files" and creating a forum called "Files" to use those templates.

Then by editing the templates to remove a BUNCH of un-needed code I could use the "new thread" to create categories and the "post reply" to make file listings and attach the files which upload to a directory instead of in the database.

This has all of course been a success except for one thing.....

you know how you can set in the admin panel to display posts accending or decending right?.....well...I want to be able to do that but only in one forum and not the whole board or on a forum by forum basis but I have no idea how to accomplish this.

The reason for this is because....replies you want to display below each other but using this as a file listing page...you want the newest to be on top instead but don't want to change it in the admin panel as is because it will effect the whole board.

I hope this made sense

Anyone know how to add this to the admin panel "Options"?

Actually....after looking at it again...I don't even think there is an option to order replies...only threads but I really need to be able to set at least one forums atributes or something to order replies in ascending order

it doesn't even need to be a option in the admin panel but just a hack to add in somewhere to set in showthread or whatever

thanks in advance for your help
