I'm kind of getting tired of the default colors and such so I'm thinking about changing them. Everytime I've tried to do this it comes out extremely ugly and you cannot see anything. So can I get some help here? What files(besides the colors in the styles menu in Admin CP) do I have to edit to change colors. Also, can anyone give me hints or something of a guide to what all the colors mean so I can get something that looks good and is ledgable. Also, I guess I'll have to change buttons and such to go with the colors. I guess I'm just looking for some help in doing a color scheme. Thanks!

You don't have to edit a single file, maybe a few templates, but that's it...just go into your Admin CP, scroll down to the bottom of the features list, find Styles -> Edit -> Fonts/Colors/etc.
Then fix your colors that way...otherwise, there are absolutely NO other files you need to edit, unless of course you want to change the Admin CP/Mod CP's look, then you just need to edit the cp.css file, but, i'll stop confusing you now =P

hehe, thanks. Any tips on choosing the actual colors? I seem to have problems with making really bad color schemes. I want a darl(black or dark blue) background and then everything else to match with that.

Hmm, make the bg's similiar to each other (you don't want too contrasting), and make the font quite a bit brighter than the bg's, do the same with links, and hover links, etc...that's all I can really say.
