Hide forum

Has anyone written a hack that would allow users to hide a forum from themselves, including in the "View New Posts?"

Why would a user want to hide a forums from themselves?

An admin could just change the access masks for the user to stop them viewin the forum and it would also include the getnew posts as well.

We have a diverse group of people, and there are some cliques that hang out in one forum and post A LOT of silly type threads in it. Not a proble, since that is what the forum is intended for, but some other users don't wish to see those posts in their "view new posts" nor see the forum period.

Then...

Add a New Usergroup, and add all the Users who post there into it...

Then edit the Forum Permissions, and block Registered from that forum...

Eh...I guess I'll just program it. That won't work because you can't do multiple user groups. I have hosts that don't want to see certain forums (which they don't host, so thats fine).
