v2.2.5 having probs with new user registration

Hi I have new user registration on, require unique email address on, verify email address in registration on, moderate new members on, enable access masks on on vb 2.2.5 release.

I have Kier's show custom avatar as file hack.

However I was able to just register a member to regular status (registered user) by validating the link that is sent to verify email addresses.

With previous versions it used to be that the member would go to the "users awaiting moderation" group after validating their email account via the link that is emailed by the software (as moderate new members was ON)

What's wrong here please? :confused:

he should be the most comfortable with the code. good luck on fixing your board.
