it is a great hack
BUT, what if u don't know the exact spelling of the name?
Perhaps a pull down menu, or can u use * as wild cards to find names close to the spelling u know?

Oh the whole point of this hack was to bring you to a profile really quickly without using huge database queries and stuff. Note that there is a feature called advanced search. I figured if you did not know the spelling for a name you could use the advanced search tool that vBulletin already provides.
Great hack, smooth install. Thanks!
This is a nice hack. Thanks.
vb.org could use it with the size of memberlist. :)

Great hack! I was just testing it out. Is there a way to get it to act like the advanced search with just the name? Wildcards AND no capitalization? I know we can use the Advanced search, but this is easier and you don't have to load another page, it is right there. :)

Sounds like a good idea. I'll work on it.
Searches are not case sensitive btw =).
Searching for "FiREFLy" would have the same effect as searching for "firefly".

Thanks, I'll be looking forward to whatever you come up with. :)
The reason I thought it was case sensitive is because one of the templates that is added for the hack said something about user names being case sensitive.

Hi. I love this hack! I really needed it, too. Is there a way that I can remove the thick border in the middle and the darker edge on the middle?

Try making your colspan one number higher for that line with the black in it. :)

ARGH! I was doing too many things at once, reverted to the original membership template and now I cant get the middle section where you can select a letter in the alphabet. Any help?
I even tried on two test boards. No go. Fooey!
Also, how do I get the A-Z list and the quick find box so that they are not on separate tables? Meaning they don't have a gap between them. thanks bunches
