Help with colors on board...

Ive been working on making a new look on a forum and i got it the way i like it, but just got 2 problems. I cant find where to change the color of the font when you type to make a reply or new post (Color in reply box is black and its typing black) so you cant see what your typing. Also, where would i find where to change the color of the font in a drop-down list, again, the whole list is black, so you cant read what board u wanna go to.

Never mind it's not working like I thought it would, I'll try to figure out what it is.

I take it i cant just go into the templates and change a code around
