One Last Upgrading Question

Ok, I know that during upgrades, the .php files get overwritten so you need to do special stuff to get the hacks back. Ok, but during the upgrade, what happens to templates? Will template changes (such as changes in showthread) stay or be overwritten?

No custom templates are deleted/overwritten.

What about standard templates like 'showthread'. Will the upgrade script just insert the changed code, or completely change the entire thing to the new version?

Does this mean that all other templates will be left completely alone?

Sorry for the constant questions. It's because I have never upgraded a hacked board before and so I'm not sure what gets changed.

If you did, you need to compare the defalut ones to your modified ones and reapply any changes you made to the new defaults if you want to pick up the upgrades made to them.
