My database suddenly stopped working. I recieved the following error when I went to any php file associated with vbulletin:

Warning: Too many connections in /business/bclapp/html/vbulletin/admin/db_mysql.php on line 34

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Too many connections in /business/bclapp/html/vbulletin/admin/db_mysql.php on line 34

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.

"Too many connections", you have too many concurrent users. Try turning on persistent connection in config.php and ask your host to up a bit the value of maximum MySQL connections allowed.

we tried the persistent connection issue firefly, without success. ptbyjason contacted his host to solve this problem. yesterday he thought something went wrong with his board again. i calm him down.. ;)

Sorry, I should have replied to this. Thanks Chen.

The hosting company made some adjustments to the server but failed to turn something back on before they finished everything. Anyway, they said that they now know what the problem is and they will fix it asap. And yes, nakkid did have to calm me down again yesterday. LOL :)
